Oh this is priceless

Nicholas Winterton is clearly a very honest MP.  He has told us what he really thinks of people in standard class, and why MPs should not be forced to share carriages with them:

“If I was in standard class I would not do work because people would be looking over your shoulder the entire time, there would be noise, there would be distraction.”

He added: “They are a totally different type of people.

Nicholas Winterton MP: a Labour mole? I can’t think of any other explanation.  On the same day that dreadful borrowing figures drive the gilt down a few notches, this will be what people talk about.

UPDATE: love the comments. And if you haven’t, PLEASE listen to the interview.  You can hear him actually digging himself in.

This blog has large gaps for obvious reasons. The name is dumb - the CentreForum think tank blog was called Freethink, I adapted that, we are stuck now.

  1. Berk!
    The altered ann winterton joke…

An Englishman, a Cuban, a Japanese man and a Conservative MP were all on a train.
The Cuban threw a fine Havana cigar out the window. When he was asked why, he replied: “They are ten a penny in my country.”
The Japanese man threw an expensive Nikon camera out of the carriage, adding: “These are ten a penny in my country.”
The Englishman then picked up the Conservative MP and threw him out of the train window.
When the other travellers asked him to account for his actions, he said: “They over claim for cigars and cameras on expenses and besides he was making loads of noise and looking over my shoulder”.

  3. According to Wikipedia,

“Sir Nicholas Raymond Winterton (born 31 March 1938) is a British politician. He is the Conservative Member of Parliament for Macclesfield, a position he has held since 1971. He is a stuck-up, out of touch, bigoted piece of shit.”

    Well, wikipedia isn’t always wrong!
